Artist Statement
I am an independent UK artist specialising in t-shirt graphics, writing, film and graphic design. My work is predominently politically & culturally motivated and straddles the personal, private & corporate sectors.
I am a firm believer in the ethics of punk rock and doing-it-yourself. I created, funded and have run the Properganda Clothing label for the past 6 years and continue to break new ground in terms of design and delivering ranges of environmentally-friendly clothing including organic, carbon neutral, hemp and fairtrade products.
Inspirations include Bill Hicks, Jello Biafra, Shepard Fairey, Henry Miller, John Carpenter, Mumia Abu-Jamal, XLarge, Yukio Mishima, Winston Smith, Henry Rollins, Punk Planet, Minor Threat, Hubert Selby Jr, Evil Dead 2, Johnny Cash, Banksy, For A Few Dollars More, Beastie Boys, Mike Giant, William Burroughs, Fuct & last but not least the Punk Rock DIY aesthetic that got me this far in the first place.
